We take you into the shallow and remote creeks of the River Fowey or out to the harbour mouth and we usually work with the tide for an easier paddle and so a more relaxed day!
On the rising tide, we might paddle up river, visiting a riverbank village, stopping for lunch and maybe lighting a fire to cook sausages, then paddle back down the river and perhaps into the harbour. On a falling tide we paddle downstream to the mouth of the river where there are some fabulous beaches and creeks to explore.
In our light and stable Canadian canoes there is plenty of space for all your equipment and a picnic. To paddle, you sit on a sturdy seat and paddle with a single-bladed paddle. Two canoes can also be strapped together, which makes a very stable platform, ideal for the less, or not yet, adventurous!
You can take a preview of the Fowey River where we paddle at Google maps and to book please tick the Canoeing box on the booking form when booking your accommodation.
Canoeing trips usually run every Thursday and can accommodate different levels of ability and as such they are ideal for a family adventure.
