We take you into the shallow and remote creeks of the Fowey River or out to the harbour mouth and we usually work with the tidal flow for a more relaxing trip!
On the rising tide, we might paddle up river, visiting a riverbank village, stopping for lunch and maybe lighting a fire, then after lunch paddle back down river and perhaps into the harbour.
On a falling tide we will leave from Lostwithiel in the morning and paddle the whole length of the river down to Fowey. Alternatively, we paddle downstream to the mouth of the river where there are some fabulous beaches and caves to explore.
In our light and stable Canadian canoes there is plenty of space for all for your equipment and a picnic. To paddle, you sit on a sturdy seat and paddle with a single-bladed paddle. Two canoes can also be strapped together, which makes a very stable platform, ideal for the less, or not yet, adventurous!
A canoeing trip can accommodate different levels of ability and as such is ideal for a family adventure.
