We will always provide the necessary safety and specialist equipment for activities and for your own personal clothing we suggest you bring the following:

summer

The aim is to keep both cool during the day and protected from over-exposure to the sun, and warm in the evening so we suggest you bring;

• T shirt, ideally with long sleeves
• A pair of shorts or light cotton (or similar) loose-fitting trousers
• Light fleece or jersey
• Light (ideally breathable) waterproof jacket (and trousers)
• Sun hat with a wide brim
• High factor sun cream and plenty of water
• For overnight expeditions a woolly hat and thick long-sleeved fleece
• Thick socks and comfortable walking boots for moorland days
• Old trainers or wetsuit 'booties' for canoeing
• Trainers or softer walking boots for climbing
• Or a pair of climbing boots will transform you into Spiderman!

winter

The aim is usually to keep warm when not active and dry whilst being active and of course staying dry from any rain all the time.

• T-shirt or 'wickable' shirt (this draws the perspiration away from your body)
• Thin and thick fleece
• Fleece or woolly hat
• Fleece gloves
• Fleece-lined trousers are lovely, alternatively loose fitting cotton trousers
• Breathable jacket is a must and breathable trousers if possible
• Comfortable walking boots for moorland days
• Old trainers or wetsuit 'booties' for canoeing

Whilst your instructor will bring spare clothes for emergencies, it is advisable to bring spare clothes on activities, especially canoeing! We will provide waterproof 'dry bags' for canoeing and rucksacks for days on the moor.
