yurt

If you want to try something different, we have a traditional Mongolian yurt on the farm.

At last here is outside living with inside comfort; soft cotton bed linen, warm colorful rugs underfoot and yet the grass is just one step away.

The yurt which is protected by mature trees and surrounded by a meadow is a five-minute walk through waving grass to the Link, with large hot shower rooms and loos.

Built by Tim Hutton, a local craftsman, this 20' diameter, solid tent type structure is made of locally grown, steam-bent ash and sits on a wooden base. It has plenty of space to sleep up to five plus a cot in one double and three single futon beds.

There is an area for cooking, with a two ring gas cooker and grill, an area for eating, with a solid wooden table and seating for up to six. Outside there is a BBQ, further seating and a large sink (with drinking water) for washing up under the stars. The Link also has a microwave, kettle and a sink with hot water!
